The Camp is located on 100 acres of rolling countryside in the township of Southgate, about 20 minutes drive north-east of Mount Forest, Ontario, Canada.
It is a beautiful and inspiring place to learn how to become a Christian and how to live as a Christian.
Come and see for yourself, and tell your family and friends
For over 40 years, Mount Forest Camp has provided many young people with a healthy and happy vacation under the direction of experienced volunteer workers.
Most of the campers each year are repeat campers from previous years, and many are children of former campers. However, we give a special welcome to those attending for the first time.
It is not the primary purpose of this Camp to teach specific skills. Although the program includes a wide
variety of sports, games and other activities, the purpose of camp is simply to contribute towards an enjoyable
and meaningful summer, with positive experiences that will be of life-long value. The program assists in informing campers about basic Christian principles from the Bible,
and they see Christianity put into practice.
Each week of camp usually has about 60 campers and 20 staff, under the overall direction of a Camp Leader.
The Leader and most members of staff at the camp are invited from the Churches of God (for more details, click link), and
offer their services on a voluntary basis. They aim to get to know each camper personally and to contribute to
his or her camp experience.
At the Children's Camps (for those aged 8-13), the campers are usually organized into groups of 7 or 8, under the care of a counsellor.
There is sleeping accommodation in bunk beds in wooden cabins with dry cement floors and electrical facilities.
Flush toilets and hot showers are provided in a separate building.

GOOD ADVICE
Kids should practice sleeping in new sleeping bags at home, especially if it's their first time at camp.
Some first-time campers (or their parents!) fear homesickness; although telephone contact may be made in emergency it has been our experience that calls
to/from home amplify feelings of homesickness. If this is a concern, please speak to a Camp Director or Leader.
FORBIDDEN AT CAMP!!
Radios, tape/CD players, phones, electronic games,
dangerous items, non-prescription drugs
MEDICAL MATTERS
To prevent health problems, we recommend all campers to have a medical checkup before coming to camp. Camp Leaders are to be advised of any illnesses that could affect other campers.
We will try to respond to special dietary needs. However, we cannot avoid the possibility that some foods and confections may contain products to which a small minority of people may have an allergic reaction. We are therefore NOT a peanut-free location. If your child is allergic to peanuts or some other substance then you should discuss this with Camp Leaders prior to sending your child to Camp, and satisfy yourself that the limited protections available in the Camp environment do not put your child at undue risk.
BY THE WAY...
Campers need not, and should not, bring money to Camp. Tuck is provided free, and the wonders of nature are to be appreciated not bought.
An application form must be completed and accepted by Mount Forest Camp before any camper can attend; this web page is for general information only and the terms and conditions of application forms contain the obligations of the camper and the Camp, which govern the attendance of any camper.
